Achievement progress is checked automatically after actions like finishing a lesson, claiming a login reward, or activating a streak shield — you don't need to manually claim anything once the underlying milestone is reached.
XP, gems, and words-read achievements are based on lifetime totals, not your current balance — so spending gems, for example, never removes an already-unlocked gem achievement or blocks a future one from being reached.
Your profile shows a compact achievements summary (e.g. "12 / 30 unlocked"); tapping it opens the full Achievements screen with every achievement grouped by category.
