Your avatar is the photo (or default letter placeholder) shown on your profile, the leaderboard, and anywhere else your identity appears.

Uploading a photo

From Profile, tap your avatar (or the upload button in the profile editor) to open your device's photo picker. Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF.

Cropping

After choosing a photo, a crop tool lets you position and zoom the image to a circular frame before confirming — drag to move, scroll to zoom.

Removing your avatar

A "Remove" option in the crop tool or profile editor deletes your uploaded photo and reverts to the default letter placeholder (the first letter of your display name).

Avatar frames

Cosmetic frames purchased from the in-app shop (Tarc Souq) wrap around your avatar wherever it's displayed once equipped — these are decorative only and don't affect the photo itself.

Without an account

Guest Mode uses only the default letter placeholder — photo upload requires an account, since avatars are stored server-side.

Frequently asked questions

JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF.

Can I reposition or zoom my photo after uploading it?

Yes — a crop tool lets you drag to move and scroll to zoom before confirming the upload.

Can I upload an avatar in Guest Mode?

No — avatar photos are stored server-side and require an account; Guest Mode shows only the default letter placeholder.

Do avatar frames change my actual photo?
