Profile

Last updated 2026-07-09 1 min read

Your profile is where your identity, stats, and cosmetics are shown to you โ€” and, if public, to other Tarc users.

What's on your profile

  • Display name (up to 30 characters) โ€” defaults to your username, editable anytime
  • Username (up to 20 characters) โ€” chosen at sign-up
  • Bio (up to 160 characters, optional)
  • Avatar โ€” see Avatar
  • Stats: total XP, day streak, words read, and mastery percentage
  • Any equipped title, frame, or badge purchased from the shop

Editing your profile

Open Profile โ†’ the edit icon on your avatar (or the profile editor) to change your display name, username, bio, or photo.

Public vs. private profile

A "Public profile" toggle in the profile editor controls whether your profile is visible and discoverable to other users โ€” on by default. When on, other users can see your username, display name, avatar, current streak, and total XP, including via the leaderboard. Turning it off removes you from public visibility.

Profile content isn't moderated โ€” avoid putting anything in your username, display name, or bio you wouldn't want other users to see.

Guest Mode profiles

In Guest Mode, there's a local placeholder identity but no persistent, shareable profile โ€” a public profile requires an account.

Frequently asked questions

Your username, display name, avatar, current streak, and total XP, plus any equipped title, frame, or badge.

How long can my display name and bio be?

Display name up to 30 characters, username up to 20 characters, and bio up to 160 characters.
