Email sign-in is Tarc's password-free alternative to Google sign-in โ you verify your identity with a one-time code or a magic link, not a password.
The 6-digit code works reliably even if you open your email on a different device or browser tab than the one you started on, since you type it back into the original tab. The magic link is a one-click convenience, but only works cleanly if opened in the same session context you started from.
Tarc does not ask you to create or remember a password for email sign-in. Each sign-in requires a fresh code or link sent to your email at that time.
The first time you verify your email, you'll choose a username to complete account setup โ see Create an Account.
No โ Tarc never asks you to create or remember a password. Each sign-in uses a fresh one-time code or magic link sent to your email.
Both come from the same email and either works โ the code is reliable across devices since you type it back into the original tab, while the magic link is a one-click convenience best used in the same browser session you started from.
Check your spam/junk folder first; if it's still missing, try requesting the code again or use Google sign-in instead if you have a Google account.
